Brian founded BSC Ventures, the parent company of Double Envelope, along with Stockton Croft in 1999 and has been CEO of BSC since its inception. Prior to BSC, he was Vice President of Operations for Atlantic Envelope Company (AECO), a $220 million division of National Service Industries (NSI). Brian joined AECO as Corporate Director of Manufacturing in 1993 and was later named General Manager of the Atlanta facility.
Brian played basketball at Oglethorpe University where he graduated Cum Laude and completed a dual degree program with Georgia Tech, earning a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering. After graduation, he progressed though a number of increasingly responsible roles with Frito-Lay and Avery Dennison before joining AECO. Brian has served two terms on the Board of Directors for the Envelope Manufacturers Association (EMA) and is currently on the Board of Trustees of Oglethorpe University.
As CEO, Brian provides the overall strategic direction of Double Envelope and has been instrumental in leading BSC’s growth. He has played an active role in overseeing the successful integration of acquisitions, building a strong, self-sufficient leadership team, and improving the company’s capital structure.
Jon is a 20 year veteran of the envelope industry and currently serves as Executive Vice President of Operations for Double Envelope. He joined Double Envelope as the Plant Manager of the Roanoke, Virginia facility and later served as General Manager before promotion to his current assignment in 2010.
After graduating Cum Laude from East Tennessee State University, Jon started his career in the envelope industry with Atlantic Envelope Company (AECO) in 1995. He held a variety of increasingly responsible management positions in several AECO facilities before joining Double Envelope in 2004.
As Executive Vice President of Operations, Jon is responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of Convertagraphics and the four Double Envelope plants. He partners with John Draper to provide direction to the General Managers and to create a well integrated “One Company” approach with customers. Jon also handles key supplier relations, leads quality and process improvement initiatives, and maintains personal relations with major clients.
John is currently Executive Vice president of Sales for Double Envelope and has more than 25 years of envelope industry experience.
A graduate of the Virginia Military Institute, John started his career with Double Envelope as a Sales Executive and was moved to increasingly important markets, including Baltimore and Washington, DC, before his promotion to Sales Manager of the Virginia Division in 2002. He was promoted to Vice President of Sales in 2008 and appointed to his current role in 2010.
As Executive Vice President of Sales, John is responsible for managing Double Envelope’s 15 outside Sales Executives and takes a hands-on role with major clients. He also oversees pricing and contract negotiation, in addition to providing leadership to the General Managers in partnership with Jon Peyton to create a well integrated “One Company” approach with customers.
With more than 27 years of diverse experience in corporate finance, John Justice serves as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for BSC Ventures.
Prior to his appointment as CFO for BSC Ventures, John served as CFO for VFP, Incorporated. In this position, he had oversight responsibility for the company’s finance team, MIS team and materials division. In addition to CFO, John also served on the board of directors and was a co-trustee of the company’s Employee Stock Ownership Plan.
Before joining VFP, John served the previous 10 years in various CFO and Corporate Controller positions for Salem Vent International, Polymer Partners and Magnox Pulaski, serving the automotive, plastics, and chemical industries. John is a native of Bellevue, Nebraska and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting with a computer science concentration from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia.
John has primary responsibility for directing Double Envelope’s corporate finance team, including tax, treasury, internal audit, and financial planning and analysis. He also has responsibility for Double Envelope’s information technology function and is instrumental in helping manage the company’s Employee Stock Ownership Plan.
John is a 35 year veteran of the envelope, packaging, and paper distribution industries. A graduate of Hobart and William Smith College with an MBA from the City University of New York, John started his career as a sales executive and progressed into sales management with Unisource in Philadelphia. From there he moved to increasingly responsible positions in general management and senior level sales and marketing positions with American Envelope, Cenveo, and Dot Packaging Company. John joined Double Envelope in 2010 following BSC/Double Envelope’s acquisition of Wolf Envelope.
John served as General Manager of the Indiana Division before moving to his present role of Vice President in 2013, where he is responsible for leading key/strategic customer relations, new business development, and the sales team to ensure a “One Company” approach with customers.
Wayne has more than 23 years of experience in the envelope industry and is currently the General Manager of Double Envelope’s Florida Division. He joined Double Envelope in 1992 as the Shipping Manager of the Gainesville plant. Wayne moved into the Customer Service Manager role in 1995 before promotion to Plant Manager in 1997. His role was expanded to General Manager in 2002.
Wayne has overall responsibility for the Florida Division and oversees all aspects of the operation, from pricing and scheduling through manufacturing and distribution. He is a key member of Double Envelope’s senior management team and partners with Jon Peyton and the other General Managers to create a seamless manufacturing platform in a multi-plant environment. Wayne also works closely with John Draper and the sales team to ensure high quality product and responsive service for our customers.
Bill started his career in the envelope industry with Oles Envelope in 1990, shortly after graduating from the University of Maryland. He progressed through a variety of assignments before his promotion to President of Ivy Envelope, a start-up jet printing division spun off from Oles in 2004. After successfully navigating Ivy’s start-up, Bill returned to Oles as Director of Operations in 2007. He joined Double Envelope in 2010 following BSC/Double Envelope’s acquisition of Oles.
Bill has overall responsibility for the Virginia Division and oversees all aspects of the operation, from pricing and scheduling through manufacturing and distribution. He is a key member of Double Envelope’s senior management team and partners with Jon Peyton and the other General Managers to create a seamless manufacturing platform in a multi-plant environment.
Lisa is the General Manager of the Maryland Division. A graduate of Loyola College, Lisa has over 20 years of experience in the envelope and mailing industries. She began her career with Oles Envelope, where she progressed through a variety of roles in both sales and production management. After several years in the mailing and fulfillment industry, Lisa returned to Oles and joined the Double Envelope team in 2010 in the role of Sales and Operations Manager following BSC/Double Envelope’s acquisition of Oles.
Lisa has overall responsibility for the Maryland Division and oversees all aspects of the operation, from pricing and scheduling through manufacturing and distribution. She is a key member of Double Envelope’s senior management team and partners with Jon Peyton and the other General Managers to create a seamless manufacturing platform in a multi-plant environment. Lisa also works closely with the sales team to ensure high quality product and responsive service for our customers and takes a lead role with major clients.
Kevin is a 32 year veteran of the envelope industry and joined Double Envelope in 2001 as the Plant Manager of the Virginia facility. He was later promoted to the Operations Manager of the Convertagraphics Division and then Director of Risk Management for BSC. In 2024, he became the GM of Double Envelope of Indiana.
Prior to joining Double Envelope, Kevin started in the industry with Atlantic Envelope in a management training program after graduating from James Madison University. Kevin was promoted and his responsibilities continued to expand, including serving as both the Operations and Manufacturing Manager for Atlantic Envelope’s Atlanta plant and Manufacturing Manager for Atlantic’s Houston plant.
Kevin is project driven and brings a broad range of experience in team building, contract negotiations, and safety programs. Well versed in estimating, production scheduling, procurement, and manufacturing, he has played a key role in BSC’s ongoing process improvement efforts.
Kevin is also committed to the local community and has served in elected positions for the Bedford County Public Schools Board and the Bedford County Board of Supervisors.
Cathy has been the Human Resources Manager on the corporate staff for BSC Ventures since 2005. She has overall responsibility for employee relations, federal and state regulatory compliance, health benefits design, 401(k) administration, safety, training, payroll, and recruitment. Cathy is an active member of the local and national Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
A graduate of Lee University with a BS in Education K-12, Cathy taught briefly before joining Manpower as a recruiter where she was quickly promoted to Office manager. In 1999, Cathy earned her PHR certification and began working for an international automotive part manufacturer as an HR Generalist and was later promoted to HR Manager before joining BSC.
Richard is a 40 year veteran of the envelope industry. Since joining the company in 2013, he served as General Manager of the Indiana Division until he moved to his new role as a Vice President in 2024. He is a graduate of the University of Arkansas and started his envelope career in 1982 with Atlantic Envelope Company (AECO) as a Sales Representative. Richard was promoted to Sales Manager and later General Manager of AECO’s Houston facility. His role was expanded to VP and Regional GM when AECO was purchased by National Envelope in 2006.
Andy currently serves as Controller for BSC Ventures. After graduating From George Mason University in 1996 with a degree in Finance, Andy progressed through a variety of accounting roles before joining BSC in 2008 as a Staff Accountant. He was promoted to his current position in 2021.
As the Corporate Controller, Andy manages the Corporate accounting staff and oversees accounting personnel within the operating divisions. He is directly responsible for budgeting, monthly financial reporting, fixed asset management, tax reporting and providing the leadership team with the analysis and support necessary to make strategic decisions in a timely manner. Andy coordinates accounting activity for all of the manufacturing facilities. He is also involved in all aspects of the day to day corporate accounting activities for BSC, including payroll, collections, cash receipts and accounts payable.
